Yep, I'm FUCT. Well and truly.
Once upon a time the way I approached my own way of thinking was muddled, probably considered the average and I navigated life without really questioning the world around me. But then came a tipping point, a moment of sheer frustration that propelled me into the realm of critical thinking. Fed up with superficial narratives and unquestioned norms, I decided it was time for a change.
My journey began with a simple question: "Why?" As I delved deeper into the intricacies of information and bettered my education, I uncovered the power of scepticism, resistance and the beauty of challenging assumptions. From dissecting news stories, recorded historical events and apparent ‘truths’ (personal, or otherwise) to questioning societal expectations and grundnorms.
I get frustrated just watching the news, I can’t stand social media as it generally propagates a ‘dumbing down’ of society and the slightest injustice just riles me up. I’m beginning to do things about this, personal things - and I have a much larger vision for myself, but for now, this blog will become my diary, my canvas for an ever evolving perspective.
In essence though, I’m a grumpy, middle aged, old fart, so make no mistake about that. I just want my own place where I can moan, vent, capture my thoughts and perhaps those of others along the way. I’m not interested in how many so called ‘visitors’ I get, nor if I even get any at all. This is my space, everyone of course is welcome here, but it sill won’t change that I’m utterly FUCT and I do like highlighting examples of critical thinking in the modern era.
Nevertheless, join me in unravelling the layers of truth, as we navigate a maze of ideas together, armed with reason, logic, and a touch of irreverence. In a world that often discourages independent thought, being a Fed Up Critical Thinker is not just a choice – it's a rebellion against the mundane.
